Steve Nelson
Steve Nelson joined First International Bank & Trust in 2023. Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from North Dakota State University and a law degree from University of Wisconsin – Madison. Prior to joining FIBT, Steve served as a law clerk for the North Central Judicial District, working on cases for Mountrail, Ward, and Burke Counties. Steve then took a position as an assistant attorney general in the North Dakota Office of Attorney General, where Steve was primarily involved with oil & gas regulatory cases. Steve’s prior experience has provided him with significant insight into the issues that face royalty owners in North Dakota.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys backpacking and all kinds of board games. During the summers, Steve spends as many weekends as he can enjoying North Dakota sunshine at his family’s cabin on Lake Audubon.
